There have been some really interesting launches from Dior lately but to be honest I still love more some items from their older collections. I do like Dior Backstage range a lot - the foundations and the contouring palettes are absolutely stunning but when it comes to eyeshadows I prefer the shades and formulations of their 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes. I find them more pigmented, creamier in texture and easier to wear.
My absolute favourite of all is Dior Eyeshadow Palette Feel; I know this is hardly a new product but it's still nonetheless a gorgeous palette and for me at least, it's a classic I still love and use almost daily no matter how many new eyeshadows I add to my makeup collection.
Dior Eyeshadow Palette Feel includes a shimmery medium brown, a semi matte burgundy, a pearly champagne-beige, a muted black with plummy undertones and a matte camel brown.
The shades are buildable and complement each other perfectly, you can mix them together and easily take your look from day to night. I especially love the shade in the middle of the four, it's really a dream to work with, so creamy and fine and blends so beautifully.
The colours are rather basic, you can probably find dupes out there but the quality of the shadows is truly exceptional. They have an amazing finely milled texture and this is actually what really impressed me the most. They feel so soft and buttery and glide on smoothly in a single swipe with no fallout, they are not at all dusty and blend seamlessly on the lids.
I'd say that this palette along with Tom Ford Cocoa Mirage Eye Colour Quad ( reviewed here ) have the finest formulas of matte eyeshadows I have tried so far. They are incredibly smooth, highly pigmented, very long wearing and do not emphasise wrinkles. If you have mature skin or fine lines and you like neutral colours, I highly recommend them.
I couldn't tell which one I like the most because they are both superb, still I think that Dior Eyeshadow Palette Feel is a touch more versatile than Cocoa Mirage as you can create more makeup looks with it. However, they are both great especially in terms of texture and pigmentation so you can't go wrong with either of them.

For the makeup in the picture I applied the camel shade all over the lid and along the lower lashes and then the darker plummy black along the crease but only to the outer corner then I smoked it out and blended into the base tone. With a smaller brush I added a bit of the burgundy onto the centre of the upper lid and under the lower lashes to intensify the look.
To contour the eyes I used Mac Powerpoint Eye Pencil in the shade Engraved. I love this one because it's smudge proof, non transferring and intensely pigmented and it never makes my eyes tear.
For the eyebrows I used Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil in Taupe.
On my lashes I applied one coat of Diorshow Maximizer 3D Plumping Lash Primer and two coats of Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara.
I always like to match a more intense eye makeup with muted colours on the lips so I chose Creme Cup from Mac which is the perfect one for this look. You can also see some of my favourite shades of nude lipstick in this post.
On the face I used Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation in the shade NW 25 and to add a bit of sun kissed glow to the skin I applied my all time favourite bronzing powder from Bobbi Brown in Natural.
This is my most worn go-to look when it comes to evening makeup in general, it's a classic combination of brown smokey eye and a nude lip that practically goes with any outfit and any occasion. I hope you like it and find it inspiring!
