I must admit that whenever I get asked about my favourite skincare brand I never really know what to answer. There are so many brands I love and even when I find a perfect product I still like trying out new formulas and always test some more. I can’t help, I just love it! It’s one of those little pleasures I simply never get bored of.
Today I thought I’d share with you my favourite products from Clinique. Clinique is a brand I really like and I recommend it also to people with sensitive or problematic skin type as their products are fragrance free and generally lack harsh chemicals which usually cause irritations. So here are the products I like the most.
Clinique Smart Custom Repair Eye Treatment
This is a product designed to smooth out fine lines, improve the appearance of wrinkles around the eyes and it is said to produce results that are similar to those after a laser treatment. It contains active ingredients that aim to stimulate the skin produce more collagen and repair skin damages caused by sun, wind or harsh temperatures exposure.
The texture is a mix between a gel and a serum, it’s very lightweight and sinks in really fast. It leaves the skin around the eyes silky, hydrated and plumped. Due to the light formula I find it perfect for day wear and it’s also an excellent primer. If you are looking for a light, non greasy eye moisturiser to use under makeup then you need to try this! The finish is matte which means it won’t make your eyeshadow crease and you won’t get oily lids at the end of the day. It gives just a touch of hydration, enough to relax tight skin and fine lines. Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus – Wrinkle Correcting Eye Cream
This anti ageing cream packed with antioxidants and vitamins is targeted to reduce fine lines and smooth the area around the eyes. I first tested it years ago and loved it from the first try. This is actually one of the few products I always keep going back to whenever I don’t have anything new to try out. It is a very good eye cream that never irritates my eyes, makes my skin more hydrated and visibly improves the appearance of fine lines in just a few days.
The texture is definitely richer than the Smart Eye Treatment but it’s not greasy or heavy. But since it does take a while to sink in I find it more suitable for night use. I really love it! I highly recommend it especially if your main concern is dryness and wrinkles around the eyes. You can buy it here.
Clinique Smart Treatment Oil
This is a gentle, fragrance free face oil designed to repair signs of dry skin and intensely nourish mature skin. It contains a mix of natural oils, plant extracts and vitamin C and E so it’s quite a powerful cocktail of ingredients beneficial to the skin.
The texture is very thin, it does not feel heavy at all and I can honestly say it’s one of the finest face oils I’ve tried so far. It feels more like a dry oil, it sinks in immediately and it doesn’t make my face look greasy. It simply smoothes fine lines caused by dehydration and my skin feels unbelievably smooth every time I use it. I absolutely love it!
