Earlier this year Dior launched a new anti-ageing skincare range called Capture Youth aimed at preventing the first signs of skin ageing and improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and dehydration. The line includes the Age delay Advanced Creme enhanced with powerful natural ingredients and five serums designed to be used for different skin concerns. The promised benefits cover everything from lifting and plumping to matifying, soothing and glow boosting.
To be completely honest I was never really into Dior skincare products in general. I do love their makeup line - I wrote about my favourites here - but when it comes to skincare I've always been rather drawn to brands dedicated exclusively to cosmetics as opposed to fashion brands that do also beauty lines.
I tried a few cream and serum samples from Dior in the past but I found them a bit too fragranced for my sensitive skin. I liked the formulations though, very refined and really a pleasure to use, yet overall none of them truly wowed me but after trying their new Capture Youth line I was totally impressed! I liked the Plum Filler Serum a lot, it really makes my skin more radiant and hydrated, the Glow Booster is also amazing but if there is one product I would really like you to try from this range is the Capture Youth Age Delay Advanced Creme. It is without a doubt one of the best and finest creams I have tried lately!
The texture is absolutely gorgeous, ultra fine and soft yet really nourishing and I love that it hydrates and relaxes tight skin instantly. If you have dry or dehydrated skin you are going to love it but if your skin is on the oilier side this might not be for you because it has a dewy finish and it takes a while until it sinks in completely. It is not greasy or sticky but is quite emollient this is why I use it mostly as a night cream or as a mask after the beach when my skin needs extra moisture. I love that it makes my skin so silky and velvety and it really improves the appearance of fine lines caused by dehydration.
This cream is not fragrance free but it's very mildly fragranced compared to all the other Dior skincare products. It has a delicate, powdery rosy scent I really adore, it's very pleasant and not at all overpowering. And it didn't cause me any irritation or breakouts.
After using for more than one year only the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Intense Night Cream - I raved about it rentlessly here on the blog - I was really excited to find another skincare product to really love. Capture Youth Age Delay Advanced Creme has a lighter texture so it's more suitable for summer and even if I'm using it only for three weeks I can already feel the benefits, my skin is soft, plumped and deeply nourished after each application.
If you are looking for a truly luxurious treat I highly recommend giving this cream a try. And if you are feeling particularly splurgy pair it with one of their Capture Youth serums for more targeted results. You can choose from Glow Booster, Plump Filler, Matte Maximizer, Lift Sculptor and Redness Soother.
