MY FAVOURITE HAIR STYLING PRODUCTS FOR THAT WAVY SUMMER BEACH LOOK

I am quite basic when it comes to styling my hair, I either leave it in its natural state and let it air dry or I curl it just a bit to make it slightly wavy and that's my favourite way to wear it especially in the summer when I want to add that "just-back-from-the-beach" vibe to my look. I won't go into details about my hair care routine - I'll write about that in another post but for now I just want to share with you what I usually use to give my hair volume, texture and hold.

Being almost weekly on the beach, I've found that one of the best natural styling products is actually the sea water. This is all I use most often to style my hair. I simply take a travel size spray bottle, fill it with sea water and spritz a few sprays onto my hair after blow drying and curling. And I always make sure to apply a leave-in conditioner beforehand so that my hair stays nourished and protected. For me this is the simplest way to give my hair volume and get that relaxed and laid back boho look I really love. And even if I'm well aware that salt water can be a bit drying and damaging for the hair, at least it's natural and free of chemicals and honestly, I think it can't do more harm than a curling iron or the excessive use of hairspray. Now I'm not saying I never apply styling products, I actually have a few favourites but I try not to use them on an everyday basis. But when I do, this is what I'll go for :

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Creme Contour - Is a styling paste designed to give your hair texture, separation and a bit of volume. This is what I've used in the picture and it's my absolute favourite, a wonder product I rarely go without when I'm styling my hair into waves. Although it's a matte creme, it doesn't make the hair look dull, on the contrary it gives a slightly satiny finish and a gorgeous texture all while giving a light hold, just enough to keep loose waves in shape. You just have to be careful not to use too much as it can make your hair look oily. I usually take a very small amount on my fingertips and apply a bit onto the lengths and ends to take away that frizzy appearance after blowdrying. It defines curls so beautifully without being sticky or heavy. If you like that beach wave, tousled look then you need this in your life! It's by far the best I've tried.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Dryspun Finish Spray - This is a total saviour for thin hair! It is the product I use the most when I want my hair to look thicker and definitely one I highly recommend. It not only provides lift and incredible volume without a heavy, weighed down finish but it also smells amazing! It has a soft, powdery minty scent I just love. And unlike the sea water it doesn't dull the hair natural shine at all. It contains a mixture of powder and wax which gives a slightly luminous finish while still adding fulness and texture. It works brilliantly, no other volumising spray I've tried so far has come close to it! If you have fine hair and want volume, try it!

Bumble and Bumble Spray de Mode - I'll admit I am not a big fan of aerosol hairsprays but when I curl my hair I sometimes use this to add some hold. It doesn't give much volume but I like that it's super light and offers flexible hold without being sticky and keeps my hair smooth and manageable.  If you have dry or bleached hair this really is great because it's hydrating and it also adds a bit of shine.

Bumble and Bumble Strong Finish Hairspray - Whenever I need extra volume and strong hold for an event or photo shooting, I choose this. It doesn't leave my hair so flexible as Spray de Mode but it keeps my hair from falling flat and has an amazing holding power that lasts all day. If you have soft hair and you need something to keep you curls in shape, this is absolutely fantastic.
