BOBBI BROWN HYDRATING INTENSE NIGHT CREAM

If you’ve read my blog for a while you’ll already know that I am a huge fan of Bobbi Brown cosmetics line. I love their makeup products, I’ve been using them for years but to be honest, up until a few months back I wasn’t even aware they also have a range of such incredible skincare products. I’m not sure why I haven’t tried them sooner but after using some of the treatments from their Remedies Collection ( reviewed here ) I really wanted to test also one of their creams.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Intense Night Cream is the newest addition to my skincare routine and even though I’ve only been using it for three months I already know this is going to be one of those products that I’ll definitely be repurchasing and I’m sure it won’t be replaced any time soon. It’s the only night cream I use these days as my skin just feels better than with any other product I’ve tried lately and I probably wouldn’t be exaggerating to say this is the best night moisturiser I’ve used in years! I don’t want to overrate it but honestly, I haven’t been so excited about a night cream in a long time and I’ve felt it really deserves to be shouted about.

Who is it for?

Bobbi Brown Intense Hydrating Night Cream is perfect for anyone with normal to very dry skin and it’s suitable for all ages. Its formula is enriched with natural emollients like Shea butter, Jojoba, Sweet Almond and Apricot Oils to prevent moisture loss and plump fine lines caused by dehydration. It also contains antioxidants like Green Tea and vitamin E that help to stimulate skin’s natural collagen production.

The texture

I really like how smooth and silky my skin feels after using this cream, yet I must admit I am not particularly impressed with its texture. It is ok but nothing extraordinary or ultra-fine. The consistency is thick and rich but it gets absorbed quickly into the skin leaving it soft, hydrated and non sticky.

I love that it gives a cool, calming sensation on application as it’s very moisturising yet it doesn’t feel greasy or heavy on the skin. I’d say it’s a pretty well balanced formula that will work just fine on normal do dry skin. However, if your skin is extremely dry, this may not feel moisturising enough so you’ll need to use it in conjunction with a serum or an oil.

Why do I love it?

Apart from an incredible moisturiser, for me this is a real skin saviour, it literally clears up all the small imperfections on my face! I am talking about all those tiny bumps, dry patches, small irritations or maybe a bit of redness that appears occasionally..Yes, it is that good! Don’t get me wrong though, I’m not saying it will soothe and heal any kind of skin reactions, dark spots or acne scars. Pretty much far from it. Since it does contain fragrance and even a small amount of alcohol it might do quite the opposite if you have hyper sensitive skin, so bear this in mind. My skin reacts so well to this cream but everyone is different so make sure you try a sample before you buy the full size. For me it just works amazingly well and I can definitely see and feel the benefits so far. My skin feels soft, moisturised, fine lines are less visible and the overall skin texture is very much improved.

If you haven’t tried any of the products from Bobbi Brown Skincare and you’d like to invest in a high quality moisturiser for night I would certainly recommend you start with this cream. It’s a bit pricey but if your budget permits, do not hesitate. It’s just too good to miss!
