I was definitely more than a little late on discovering Burberry Beauty line but with so many brands launching so many products every year it's not quite easy to keep up with everything. I have finally got the chance to try their makeup range recently and I've been really impressed. The foundations and bronzers are truly stunning, their Sheer Glow blushes in particular have such a nice texture and interesting shades but it's their eyeshadows that stood out to me the most. They have a lovely selection of sophisticated smoky greys, taupes, beiges and earthy nudes that are absolutely amazing. Of all the colours available I picked up the mono eyeshadow in the shade Almond.
Burberry Wet and Dry Silk Shadow in Almond is a taupe-brown with just a hint of golden undertones that works best for people with warm skin but I think it looks flattering also on fair skin and especially with blue or green eyes. The colour is similar to Mac eyeshsadow in the shade Cork but Almond is slightly softer and more neutral.
The texture is incredible, so soft and buttery and feels very smooth on the lids. I also like that it's not overly pigmented so it's very easy to apply and blends like a dream. You can also use it damp if you want to get a more intense colour and apply more layers as it doesn't look too powdery on the lids.
You can wear it alone or mixed with a darker eyeshadow, simply as a crease colour or as a transition shade to blend out a smoky eye. It also looks great when applied under the lower lashes to define the shape of the eyes and intensify the look.
If you like a soft eye makeup for day and you are looking for a neutral eyeshadow that is easy to wear at work, in the office or maybe in formal meetings , I think Burberry eyeshadow Almond is just perfect. It is one of those versatile products that you will probably find yourself reaching for really often.
