MY AUTUMN MAKEUP ROUTINE

my autumn makeup routine

It's been a while since I last shared an update about makeup so today's post will be about the products I love the most. There are so many items in my collection that I would call my favourites but I tried to pick only those that I consider to be the very best, those I go back to time after time and I will continue buying because they work well with me and my skin. So have a peek below at the products I use almost daily in my makeup routine ...

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

I raved about Charlotte Tilbury's products a while ago over the blog ( you can read the post here ) but I'll admit Filmstar Bronze & Glow is absolutely my favourite of all. The darker shade is not too warm, not too orange, blends easily into the skin and doesn't leave a streaky finish. It is a contouring shade but I also apply it all over the face as it warms up the skin with a lovely sun kissed bronze sheen. The highlighter looks very natural and it doesn't give that fake, flashy glow but it can be built up to be a little more intense if you like a glam look. I usually use only a few swipes just to add a pop of light to my cheeks and that's literally all I need to make my face look truly radiant and rested. If you are looking for a high end contouring and highlighter palette, then you'll adore this one.

Mac Studio Sculpt SPF 15 Foundation

My favourite foundation has stayed the same for over five years now. Mac Studio Sculpt is the only foundation I know I can 100% rely on to get a flawless look. It's very easy to blend, doesn't leave streaks and provides medium to high, semi matte coverage. Not only does it cover all blemishes, wrinkles and imperfections, it also looks and feels incredibly natural even when layered and lasts all day without creasing. The texture is thick and fairly heavy so I don't use it every day but when I need a lighter coverage I just mix it with the Mac BB Prep & Prime Beauty Balm SPF 35 which is really soft; this combination usually works best for me.

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder

I guess you already know by now that I am a huge fan of Bobbi Brown products. I love everything I've tried from this brand, their products are high quality and never disappoint. If you haven't tried their skin care range, I highly recommend! When it comes to makeup their bronzing powders are the only ones I use to get that natural looking tan on my face.

Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Colour no.4 - Mod

This has recently became my number one of all the nude lipsticks! I still like many shades from MAC (you can read about my favourites here ) but this one has a much silkier texture, it's super creamy while still being fairly matte. The formula it's not the strongest on the longevity front but I find it to be pretty comfortable on the lips and very very hydrating.

Mod is a warm peachy nude that I think would would suit all skin types including fair skin because it is a visible shade that won't wash you out. If you're in the market for a new nude I definitely recommend you try this one.

Mac Eyeshadows in Texture & Espresso

These are two of my most used eyeshadows in autumn. Texture is a peachy medium brown with golden undertones and a lovely satin finish. I like that it has just a slight hint of shimmer that's barely visible and it blends incredibly nice with matte eyeshadows. I dust it all over my lid with a blending brush and then take a little bit of darker colour like Espresso and apply it onto the crease and the outer corner of the eye to intensify the look.

Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow in Taupe

This is my newest addition to my make up collection and I absolutely love it! Taupe is one of the most beautiful shades I've tried, it's a warm medium brown with a slight yellow-ginger undertone to it. I'd say it's a pretty unique combination of pigments I haven't found at any other cosmetic brand.

The finish is matte and very natural looking and I think it would suit most eye colours. This is great as a crease shade but I also like to use it for a soft smoky eye and apply it all over the upper lid and underneath the eye because I love the way it makes my blue eyes pop! The texture is very fine and highly pigmented, blends really well and lasts all day without creasing.
