HELENA RUBINSTEIN ALL MASCARAS EYE MAKEUP REMOVER

helena rubinstein all mascaras eye makeup remover review

After trying the Prodigy Powercell Youth Grafter Serum a while ago ( review here ), I was pretty excited to test another product from Helena Rubinstein because I really love this brand. Their products are some of the most innovative on the beauty market and I feel that they are often overlooked and don't quite get the recognition they deserve. You rarely see them mentioned on beauty blogs or promoted in fashion magazines, even though the products are high quality and never disappoint. Their skincare range is really amazing and so is the make up line; the mascaras and the foundations are truly gorgeous and their face creams some of the most exquisite I have ever tried.

All Mascaras Eye Makeup Remover is another of Helena Rubinstein fantastic products I was really impressed with. Not just because it gets off even the most stubborn waterproof mascara in only a few swipes - almost all oil based cleansers I've tested do that, but this is the only bi-phasic cleanser that doesn't blur my vision and does not leave a greasy film on the skin. It has the finest formula I've come across so far and it's very gentle even when it gets into the eyes. I would sincerely recommend it even to the most sensitive eyes or to those who wear contact lenses.

The product is a two part solution, an oily later on the bottom and a more watery later on top. Before using it, you need to shake the bottle well to mix the two liquids, place a few drops onto a cotton pad and hold over the eye for ten seconds then wipe away. The oily consistency really helps to break down any makeup on the skin and takes everything off with minimal effort.

To be honest, I haven't used a bi-phasic makeup remover for years mainly because I haven't really found one to like and enjoy using. All oil based cleansers I've tried made my vision blurry, stung my eyes and left that oily residue on the skin. I will admit, my favourite product for removing eye makeup is Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water, I've been using it for several years now and in all honesty I wouldn't change it for anything. It's a light, watery cleanser that easily removes foundation and eyeshadow and never irritates the eyes but it does not take away makeup that's long wearing or waterproof. Also it's not very efficient in taking off transfer resistant kohls and gel eye liners.. Or rather, it does but after a little bit of rubbing. And this is when All Mascaras Eye Makeup Remover is really helpful. It literally melts off all makeup traces and leaves the skin around the eyes clean, moisturised and soft. I really love it, it's a pleasure to use and the first oil based formula my eyes feel comfortable with. Definitely one for the repurchase.

In case you are in the market for a new makeup remover, I definitely recommend giving this a try. Unfortunately the product is not available for on line purchase on their official website, you can buy it exclusively from Helena Rubinstein counters but you can also find it on Amazon or Ebay. In Europe the brand is available in only a few countries, you can read more about their stores locations here
