While I’d have preferred a natural tan straight from the Brazilian shores, I still like the idea of getting that sun kissed look with a fake tan in only a few hours and just add this exotic destination to my wish list.. I can’t tell how the air of Copacabana smells like and hopefully I’ll find out one day but I know this self tanner smells incredibly good!! There is something about this scent that just makes me think of holiday, remote beaches, the sea breeze or the refreshing drinks on a hot summer day..
Lancaster Self Tan Beauty 03 Intense – Trip to Copacabana comes in a dark tinted jelly gel that’s extremely easy to use because it blends in really well. It has an oily texture and it’s very hydrating so it’s perfect for those of you with dry skin, but it takes a long time to dry. You’ll have to wait at least an hour before you get dressed because it feels a bit greasy at first and it’s not transfer resistant. I would say it’s very similar with Clarins Delicious Self Tanning cream ( you can read the full review here ) just a bit more oily and less tacky. The tan is visible after three hours and it takes nearly eight hours to fully develop but the results are definitely worth the wait. The final colour is a medium to deep, amber tan that is simply flawless! It looks very natural, with not a hint of orange and doesn’t fade in patches.
Lancaster Self Tan Beauty 02 Medium – A Week in Ibiza is designed for face and is less intense than the self tanner for body. It has the same gorgeous scent yet the consistency is finer, not so greasy and sinks into the skin much faster. The texture is lightweight so you can apply makeup immediately after and there is no need to use a moisturizer as the gel is hydrating enough. After one application you’ll get a light, golden tan that looks very natural and subtle.
If you crave for that bronzed summer look without spending hours in the sun and haven’t tried these self tanners yet, you need to check them out. They produce a really nice, natural looking tan that lasts up to one week and fades really smoothly.
