Clarins Delicious Self Tanning Cream is another favourite of mine that used to be my go-to self tanner years ago and I still like it. I haven’t used it for a long time just because I like trying new products but this is a classic I always can rely on when I need a fake tan that looks natural.
If you like chocolate, you will probably love it! It has an intense, mouth watering cocoa scent which smells so delicious you could easily be tempted to over apply it just to keep smelling it. Every time I open the pot I just crave for chocolate!
The consistency is that of a thick gel, with a slightly oily texture which helps the product glide and spread evenly. The application is quite easy and the caramel colour guide helps you see exactly where you are placing the product to get an even tan. What I don’t like instead is that it feels rather wet and a bit sticky on the skin for about an hour after the application and if you use a lot of product it takes a long time to dry completely. This is definitely not the product you can put on and get dressed immediately after. So a good tip is to apply just a very fine layer because it gets absorbed much faster and then reapply a second one after a few hours if you really want an intense bronze.
The fake tan smell is definitely there and persists until you shower but that’s a typical thing with fake tanners. It’s not overpowering but you can still sense it. If the DHA smell is not an issue for you, this is a product really worth trying as it produces one of the best colours I’ve had so far with a self tanner. A honey, streak-free, gorgeous tan that looks very natural and does not fade in patches.
