CHARLOTTE TILBURY MAGIC CREAM

With all the hype that surrounds it, I must admit I’ve been dying to try Charlotte Tilbury’s legendary Magic Cream! Just in case you haven’t heard about it, this is a cult beauty product created by Charlotte Tilbury, one of the top make-up artists in the world and it became extremely popular among bloggers, beauty editors and make-up artists around the world who keep talking about how spectacular this cream is.

It has been on my wish list for quite a while and to be honest, since I have so many creams already I probably wouldn’t have purchased it too soon but thankfully, I received it as a present from one of my dearest friends and just couldn’t be happier. The packaging is absolutely gorgeous, very luxurious and elegant, the messages, the presentation are all adorable! I cannot think of a more exquisite beauty gift for a woman! It just looks so stylish, glamorous and sophisticated..

The story of the Magic Cream is that Charlotte made it herself and used it backstage on the models and celebrities for years. The formula is a secret mix of patented anti age ingredients and it promises to rejuvenate and transform tired skin in an instant. It contains peptides which aim to stimulate collagen production, hyaluronic acid for intense hydration, emollients such as rose hip oil, vitamin E and aloe vera and some other unrevealed ingredients that would reduce the appearance of wrinkles and give the skin a youthful glow.

It’s hard to tell if these claims are truly producing all the promised results, I couldn’t actually say the cream made wonders for my skin, at least not yet but my face does look more rested and luminous every time I use it. Yes, it definitely adds a healthy glow to dry, dull skin right after the first application as it’s very hydrating. It also contains some tiny light-reflecting particles that give such a beautiful radiance to the skin.

The texture is rich and quite thick since it is designed to be applied through a facial massage so it won’t sink into the skin instantly but it takes only a few minutes to be absorbed completely. It’s not heavy, still I find it a bit greasy and more fit for colder seasons. This is definitely not the product to use in hot and humid climate. If you have dry skin, you’ll most likely love it but I wouldn’t recommend this cream to people with oily skin as it might make their face appear too shiny.

The scent is nice and refined, it smells of roses with a touch of sunscreen, it’s very feminine but a bit powerful for my taste.

DO I LOVE IT?

Yes. It really suits my skin and is one of my favourite day creams. Apart from a moisturiser, this cream works beautifully also as a make-up primer. It makes any type of foundation or concealer spread more evenly and gives my skin a fresh and luminous look in just a flash.

IS IT WORTH THE MONEY?

If you have dry or dull skin and you are looking to splurge on a luxurious cream, this is definitely worth buying. It feels lovely and it’s perfect for those of you who like a dewy, radiant look. But if you hope for miracles and a dramatical change in your skin condition then you may pass it over. It will not erase wrinkles, acne scars or make dark spots disappear. This is a very good cream that moisturises, illuminates, reduce fine lines cased by dehydration and gives skin an appealing glow.

HOW TO USE :

Apply it onto your cheeks and massage it in outward and upwards motions to relax your facial muscles. On the forehead massage it in circular motions moving outwards towards the temples to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. Finish by gently patting the skin with your fingertips to stimulate micro-circulation.
