I have been a fan of Anastasia brow products for years and honestly I love everything I've ever tried from this brand. There are too many products in her range to recommend, I absolutely adore them all but there are two products I tend to reach for almost daily when doing my makeup and I really wanted to mention them here on the blog.
Anastasia Brow Wiz is my personal favourite product from the eyebrow products range and it is probably the best one I've ever tried. What I love most about it is the pigmentation. I have it in the shade Taupe which is a perfect colour match for me, close enough to my natural blonde brows. There are few cosmetic brands on the market that have eyebrow pencils in such a nice dark blonde colour and I am really excited I have found this one. For years I've been searching for brow pencils that are ashy and all I could find were products with red undertones which are really unsuitable for my brows. I don't know about the other colours from this range but Brow Wiz in Taupe does not have any hue of red in it, it is just a perfect, cool toned light brown that looks really natural on blonde hair.
The pencil has two ends, one containing a retractable point that needs no sharpening and the other is a small wand. It has a super fine tip being perfect for drawing tiny hair like strokes and filling in those gaps of my brows with precision.
I apply it very lightly on any sparse area of my brows and then use the brush to comb colour through and soften the lines for a more natural effect. It takes a bit of effort to apply but I love how natural it looks, plus it is long lasting and doesn't smudge throughout the day.
The second product I love from Anastasia is the Perfect Brow Pencil. This one does not have such a great staying power as the Brow Wiz because the tip is a bit softer and more waxy. Being a touch creamier in texture it tends to fade a bit after application especially if you live in a humid climate, you sweat or if you have oily skin. However, it does an amazing job at adding volume and definition and it's great to use when I am in a rush and don't want to spend too much time on makeup. Just a few strokes are enough to make my eyebrows look a bit fuller and more groomed.
I like both of these products but if I had to pick only one , I'd probably go for Brow Wiz as it's more suited for thinner eyebrows. It is also more long wearing than the Perfect Brow - it has a harder tip and a drier formula so it stays put for longer.
Which one to choose?
If you have no defined shape and like to fill in the sparse spots in your brows in detail with a pencil that offers more precision, then you will love Anastasia Brow Wiz. But if you are less skilled in shaping your eyebrows and just want to contour them quickly without too much effort, go for the Perfect Brow Pencil. It's fairly easy to use and it's perfect for lightly defining the brows to get a natural look.
