SPENDING MY BIRTHDAY IN MARRAKECH

I knew Marrakech was amazing but I didn't expect to fall in love with this city the way I did. I was there recently to celebrate my birthday with my dear friends and spent three wonderful days exploring, eating, partying and having such a great time. Quite a lovely reunion filled with so many beautiful memories that will certainly stay with me for a long time. It was one of those unique experiences that leaves you with a sort of magical vibe you'd like to feel again and all you can think of is when you might go back. Because one visit in Marrakech is definitely not enough to take it all in.

Marrakech is absolutely fascinating, intense and full of contrasts. Breathtaking architecture, lavishly decorated interiors, plush vegetation, sumptuous gardens, old buildings that transport you hundred of years back.. Sometimes it felt like walking in a dream..It's hard to explain in words the energy, the madness and the charm of this city. Can't even believe it's taken me this long to visit it. I actually have to be thankful to my friends for this trip as it was rather their idea to go to Marrakech for this special occasion and it was such a good choice. I loved everything about this place, the atmosphere, the colours, the culture, the colonial air and I was really impressed by the warmth of the locals. It felt so nice to be surrounded by some of the kindest, welcoming people I've ever had the pleasure to meet.

We only had limited time for exploring and I wasn't necessarily driven to see all the major tourist attractions since I was there for such a short period. All I wanted to do is to feel the pulse of the city and its surroundings , taste the local cuisine and spend time with my friends. I was wandering the chic streets of Hivernage area where our hotel was located, I visited the old town of Medina and of course, the Yves Saint Laurent Museum and Majorelle Garden. This is the only place I did not want to miss. And honestly when I arrived there I literally felt like I was in heaven. This place is an absolute dream, it looks straight out of a fairy tale, almost unreal. I was truly overwhelmed to be surrounded by so much beauty and really hope you'll get that feeling from the photos below.
